"Anti-Fetal Rhetoric: America's Best-Loved Hate Speech
We find this little gem:
"In his classic essay "Politics and the English Language, " George Orwell warned about the destruction of our minds and our culture by euphemisms and slogans. The tyrannical, thought-stifling world depicted in Orwell's novel 1984 was a place of mendacious rhetoric where the heresy of heresies was to speak plainly. The first and most basic defense against today's totalitarian terminology aimed at unborn humans is likewise plain speaking.
Plain speaking must challenge the entrenched false rhetoric on two fronts. (1) The derisive expressions must be exposed as an outrageous and insidious brand of hate speech concocted to further the pro-abortion agenda by inducing in pregnant women fear of and loathing for their preborn offspring. (2) The disparaging designations need to be discredited by documenting how closely they echo the most extreme forms of murderous name-calling in the annals of humanity."

TINY BABY MADE IN GOD'S IMAGE THROWN IN
CONTINENTAL AIRLINES TRASH!
This sad story once again incorrectly uses the
term fetus to describe a baby
apparently delivered on a plane and thrown in the garbage:
"HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A human fetus was found on a Continental airlines flight that landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport. And right now, the FBI is involved, trying to find out what happened.
Investigators say the flight was from New York to Houston late Sunday afternoon. The FBI says a cleaning crew found the fetus in the trash in a bathroom on Flight 433 out of New York's LaGuardia airport.
The Continental airlines plane was parked at gate 18, which is located at the far end of the building. The plane landed at about 4:45pm Sunday at Bush Airport. Passengers got off the plane.
An hour passed before the person cleaning the bathroom made the discovery inside a trash bag in that plane's bathroom. Investigators say the child was not a full term baby, that it was a fetus. They cannot say how far along that fetus might have been in its development."
This obsession with dehumanizing pre-born babies by calling them "fetuses" demonstrates the need for Personhood
laws. Babies must be legally protected from the moment of fertilization.
Colorado For Equal Rights is leading the way to make certain Harry Blackmun's statement, "if personhood is
ever established, the case for abortion collapses," comes true.

AN EXAMPLE OF AMERICA'S JUDICIAL CRISIS!!
Why the Colorado Personhood Amendment
is Paramount!
COLORADO JUDGE RULES VEHICULAR HOMICIDE VICTIM "NOT A PERSON"
GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO – On Thursday, March 20, Mesa County District Judge Richard Gurley declared that an unborn baby of 8 ½ months gestation is not a person.
Logan Lage was allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase when his vehicle struck Shea Lehnen's head-on. The crash resulted in the emergency C-section and subsequent death of Shea's daughter, Lileigh. However, because Baby Lileigh's death was caused by injuries she sustained before she was actually born, homicide charges against Logan Lage have been dismissed. According to Judge Gurley, Lileigh was not a "person" when she was fatally injured. Evidently, she died as a person, but was killed as a non-person.
To read more, visit: Grand Junction Sentinel.
The coroner's report ruled the death of Lileigh Lehnen a homicide. Babies gestated to 8 ½ months are nearly full-term and can easily survive outside of the womb. Regardless of these facts, Judge Gurley has ruled that homicide charges do not apply, because Lileigh was not yet born.
The Aspen Times reported that Judge Gurley wrote that three conditions must exist at the time of the homicide to qualify a victim as a "person":
• The victim is a human being.
• The victim has already been born.
• The victim is still alive.
"This outrageous ruling is a clear example of they hypocrisy of Colorado law," commented Kristi Burton, spokesperson for Colorado for Equal Rights. "If a child like Lileigh is not a person, what is she? There is no other answer. However, this case effectively illustrates the current state of our laws in Colorado and across the nation. Some states would recognize Lileigh's rights as a person, yet Colorado does not. It's high time we change this and clarify what a person actually is in Colorado. Our Human Life Amendment can lay the needed foundation to bring justice to people like Shea and Lileigh Lehnen.
Once the Colorado Human Life Amendment gets on the ballot, it will go a long way in protecting people who currently have no protection under Colorado laws. This Amendment is supported by common sense and by science. As Dr. Jerome LeJeune, an internationally recognized geneticist, wrote, "Life has a very, very long history but each individual has a very neat beginning: the moment of its conception."
Colorado for Equal Rights is a statewide grassroots organization of committed pro-life activists. Colorado for Equal Rights is sponsoring the Human Life Amendment to the Colorado Constitution, stating "(t)he term "Person" or "Persons" shall include any human from the time of fertilization." The Human Life Amendment initiative is currently working to gather petition signatures to appear on the November 2008 ballot.

Colorado RTL Public Announcement: U.S. Judicial Crisis
Colorado RTL is informing pro-lifers of a crisis among the federal judiciary. For 35 years, pro-lifers have hoped that by electing pro-life presidents such as Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and George W. Bush, America would get judges who support the God-given right to life of the unborn. Justices who we all hoped were pro-life have made it increasingly clear that they are not. Antonin Scalia has publicly stated that he would strike down any law that prohibited abortion in all fifty states, and Clarence Thomas has ruled that the culture has the right to decide to legalize the killing of unborn children. Sadly, not even one of the seven current U.S. Supreme Court Justices nominated by Republican presidents support the right to life of the unborn. Further, our pro-life presidents have nominated sixty percent of the U.S. federal judiciary, and yet the judiciary utterly rejects the right to life of the unborn. Also we should remember that the pro-abortion Roe v. Wade decision was written by a Republican Justice and passed by the Republican majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, and abortion was legalized in Colorado by Republican governor John Love in 1967. Colorado RTL is educating pro-lifers to the sobering judicial crisis because it tells us that the status quo strategy of regulating abortion over the last decades is leading to a judicial culture exactly the opposite of what the pro-life movement had expected. When we ask judges to uphold abortion regulations, that very request moves “our own” judges to accept that the government has the right to regulate the killing of children, which they do by upholding our own initiatives. Thus Colorado RTL advocates Personhood and the God-given right to life as the strategy that will one day end legalized abortion in America!
Colorado RTL invites you to an Italian Fest to hear Judie Brown, president of American Life League at $100-a-plate fundraisers to benefit Colorado’s Personhood amendment effort, April 4 in Denver, April 5 in Colorado Springs. Please RSVP to CRTL at 303 753-9394!

MY TWO TERRI S
Written on my flight home from Florida
the day after Terri Schindler Schiavo's death
from state sponsored starvation/dehydration:
Terri, meet Terri. You don’t know one another but we all have something
in common. I have had the pleasure to have been involved in heroic efforts
to save you both from the Euthanasia movement’s diabolic plans to steal your lives.
Uncanny isn’t it?
Theresa Corrao and I crossed paths in 1996. My husband and I were just about
to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. One fateful day, I heard a pathologist
named Paul Corrao on television stating that his sister Theresa was in a hospice
and was being severely overmedicated. He was trying to rescue her from the facility
and save her life. He mentioned one Susan Fox Buchanan – a Denver elder care “expert.”
Having sat in on numerous Governor’s Commission on Life and the Law meetings
in the late 1980s and early 1990s, that name jumped out at me as one heavily invested
in the pro-death ethic that so permeated the beautiful state of Colorado in those years.
I contacted Paul Corrao and warned him that there was an insidious plan afoot in my
state that he should be aware of. From that point forward Paul and I worked together
to save Theresa from those who sought to destroy her. After all, Theresa had signed
an advanced directive waiving extraordinary care hadn’t she?
Paul and I persuaded Theresa that life was worth living and that she actually might
like to sign a will to live. Unfortunately, Theresa Corrao had a severe bedsore that
needed surgical repair. Ironically, she worked for the hospital where the surgery
would take place and she had insurance to cover it with her employer, Columbia HCA.
During the planning stages for the surgery, Paul, insisted that the surgery be performed
under a local anesthesia. As a pathologist, he believed that his sister’s liver was
quite compromised by her treatment for breast cancer as well as the extremely high
amounts of morphine used in hospice prior to her leaving the facility. As Paul left
the hospital the evening before the surgery, doctors approached Terri and persuaded her
to agree to a general anesthetic, possibly stating that they wouldn’t we able to manage
her pain with a local.
Theresa underwent approximately 5 hours of surgery that fateful day. As I entered her room post surgery to confer with Paul, death was in the air. As he had feared, her liver
was unable to process the anesthesia from such a lengthy procedure. Theresa Corrao died
shortly thereafter, destroyed by the pro-death movement in Colorado – progenitor of the
euthanasia movement, nationally.
Terri Schiavo’s loved ones were holding a 24hour prayer vigil for her in front of her
Pinellas Park, FL hospice. This event was to thrust her into the international spotlight,
where she would remain, for the next 18 months. During that period, I would travel
to Florida five times to work, tirelessly, to save Terri’s life. I had the honor and
pleasure to work alongside hundreds, if not thousands of individuals dedicated to
helping Terri’s parents and siblings spare her life.
This incredible woman inspired us all to work to protect her from the insidious conspiracy by the so called “right to die” forces which found themselves in the perfect storm of circumstances arrayed to deliver Terri to their dark plot.
Former husband, Michael Schiavo, was able to persuade nearly every level of government, judiciary and media that she wouldn’t want to live as a disabled
person. Despite heroic efforts and prayers by pro-lifers and disability activists
in the US, it apparently wasn’t meant to be.
As a member of a team of lobbyists working to pass the “Jessie Jackson sip of water compromise” I am pleased to say that we never gave up as long as Terri held on for
nearly 14 days without food or water – while not even an ice chip was allowed to quench her insatiable thirst.
Terri either passed or was pushed into eternity on March 31, 2005 at the end of Holy
Week. She and her family taught us a lot about love, perseverance and dedication to family.
Her president and governor taught us they knew little to nothing about the constitution
which guaranteed Terri due process of law and religious liberty as well as freedom from cruel and unusual punishment.
As our nation this week mourns the passing of Pope John Paul and tries to make
sense of Terri’s senseless death and the Florida corruption which ensured it, I ponder
the irony of losing 2 friends named Terri to a death machine that has its origin in
my beautiful state, Colorado. Like the hospice grounds where Terri was held hostage
for the past five years, what looks beautiful to the undiscerning eye, often has below the
surface – deadly evil.

LONGFELLOW'S "PSALM OF LIFE"
Performed at the Colorado March for Life
by Personhood Amendment sponsor -
KRISTI BURTON
TELL me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream ! —
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real ! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal ;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way ;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle !
Be a hero in the strife !
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant !
Let the dead Past bury its dead !
Act,— act in the living Present !
Heart within, and God o'erhead !
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time ;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate ;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME!!
Reasons to Boycott
And THANK YOU JOHN PISCIOTTA!!
Cookie crumbles: Girl Scout sex furor splits Texas town
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — Some families are boycotting Thin Mints and Do-Si-Dos and other Girl Scout cookies. Troop 7527 is down to just two members after the other girls were withdrawn by their parents. And Brownie Troop 7087 is no more.
Why are folks in this conservative Texas town where President Bush has his ranch so mad at the Girl Scout organization?
Planned Parenthood and sex education.
The furor was started a few weeks ago by the leader of the anti-abortion group Pro-Life Waco, who sent out e-mails and ran ads on a Christian radio station urging people to boycott Girl Scout cookies because of the "cozy relationship" between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood.
Parents were upset to learn that the local Girl Scout organization had given a "woman of distinction award" last year to a Planned Parenthood executive. And they were disturbed to find out that the Girl Scout organization has been giving its endorsement for years to a Planned Parenthood sex-ed program in which girls and boys are given literature on homosexuality, masturbation and condoms.
"It's not that we're a bunch of activists. We're just a bunch of moms who care about their kids," said Lisa Aguilar, who took her 10-year-old daughter out of her eight-member Girl Scout troop. "For us, it's the morality. Where is Girl Scouts going?"
The two troops in Crawford, population 700, decided not to deliver the cookie orders that they had already taken.
But cookie sales have skyrocketed this year as many people bought cases just to show their support for the Girl Scouts, said Becky Parker, a troop leader who is the cookie distributor for Waco-area troops.
"People thought the boycott was ridiculous and was one man's extremist views," Parker said.
While the cookie boycott may have backfired, the furor prompted the parent leaders of the two Crawford troops to quit.
"You're telling these girls to raise their fingers up to pledge to honor God and country, and yet you're handing out materials saying homosexuality is OK," said Brownie leader Donna Coody, who disbanded her five-member troop.
Because of the uproar, the Bluebonnet Council of Girl Scouts, which oversees troops in the Waco area and 13 other counties, announced last week that it would not be affiliated with Planned Parenthood sex-education programs this year.
In an editorial in Friday's Waco Tribune-Herald, Pam Smallwood, the Planned Parenthood of Central Texas executive director who was honored by the Girl Scouts last year, complained that Girl Scouts had thereby demonstrated that "bullying tactics are more effective than an informed democracy."
The Waco-area Girl Scout organization has been putting its name and logo on brochures for the Planned Parenthood sex-education programs but said it does not contribute any money and does not send girls to attend.
Some 400 to 700 fifth- through ninth-graders attend the half-day Nobody's Fool conference in Waco each July. The program never mentions abortion, according to Planned Parenthood. The youngsters receive a book with chapters on homosexuality and masturbation, as well as illustrations of couples having sex, people examining their naked bodies and a boy putting on a condom.
Some Girl Scout mothers called it soft-core porn.
"It embarrassed me to look at it with my husband," said parent Shannon Donaldson.
Pro-Life Waco director John Pisciotta, an economics professor at Baylor, the world's largest Baptist university, said his call for a cookie boycott "was a way to bring attention to the issue and wasn't really about cookies."
The Girl Scouts national organization, which is based in New York and has 2.9 million girl members and 986,000 adult members, takes no position on sex education or abortion and has no national relationship with Planned Parenthood, according to the Bluebonnet Council.
The Crawford mothers are forming their own girls organization and will use a Christian-based curriculum. Beth Vivio, director of the Bluebonnett Council, declined to say if parents in any other troops had taken their daughters out.
Some parents decided to explain abortion to their girls. Others gave only a vague explanation about the uproar.
"Our girls have been through a lot these past three weeks," said Jennifer Smith, who quit as leader of Girl Scout Troop 7527 and removed her daughter. "After I told my 10-year-old daughter that they are supporting some things that are not morally right, she understood."

THE PINNACLE OF GOD'S CREATION
Psalm 139: 13-17
13For Thou hast possessed my reins. Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14I will praise Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well.
15My substance was not hid from Thee when I was made in secret, and intricately wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuity were fashioned, when as yet there were none of them.
17How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

ANY WAY TO TREAT A VETERAN?
Orthodox Jew to remain on life support, trial next
This horrific morality tale being played out in Canada should be a wake up for us all!
Golubchuk's adult children argue that taking their father off of life support goes against their faith.

Winnipeg's Grace Hospital where Samuel Golubchuk is being kept alive on life support.

The case of a family's fight to keep their 84-year-old father on life support against the wishes of a Winnipeg hospital will go to trial, after a judge ruled that doctors should not have "the final say."
In the meantime, Samuel Golubchuk, an Orthodox Jew, will remain on life support at Grace Hospital, connected to a feeding tube and ventilator.
"We are grateful for the decision the judge made -- not only for my father, but for all the elderly people and disabled people," son Percy Golubchuk told reporters.
Doctors at the facility have claimed that Golubchuk has minimal brain function and that his chances for recovery are slim.
But Golubchuk's adult children argue that taking their father off of life support goes against their faith. They say hastening their father's death is a sin under their Orthodox Jewish faith.
"Doctors don't know everything," said Percy Golubchuk. "God is the major doctor." (continued . . )
FEELING BLUE?
Need a boost to get your day going and heart focused
on Him?
I've been thinking and praying today about Lauren Richardson.
For the first time I found my way to the testimonial page on her web site.
Let your heart be blessed by the love, dedication and hope in these individual's stories of their disabled loved ones.
Take a moment to Praise the Lord for dear souls like these, who love in spite of the obstacles and persevere when the system tells them to give up.
These are the kinds of hearts that established America's hospitals, before they became money driven.
Lord, we pray for an outpouring of your love and healing upon Lauren and her family this day.
Touch the heart of the judge in this matter, that he will recognize the value of this beautiful young mom. Let Lauren understand the love and concern pouring forth on her behalf. Bring goodness where some mean for evil to prevail.
LORD, WE LOVE YOU AND PRAISE YOU for every day that you give us to proclaim your mighty name.

FAILURE TO ADMIT THAT LIFE IS SACRED
LEADS TO MENTAL ILLNESS
Royal College of Psychiatrists completely misses the big picture!
The recent suicide of 30 year old Emma Beck has London abuzz. After aborting her twins, this young mom couldn't live with the knowledge of what she did.
Setting arbitrary guidelines will never do.
Life begins at fertilization and "A person's a person,

THANK YOU MONICA MIGLIORINO MILLER!!
Since the late 1980s, Miller has helped bury thousands of aborted babies.
"She said she marks the tombstones of the common graves with the words, "Holy Innocents of God," includes the date the remains of the unborn were recovered, and includes a verse from the Bible from the book of Jeremiah, The Lord says, 'A sound is heard in Ramah, a sound of crying in bitter grief. It is the sound of Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are gone.'"
This heartbreaking CNS News article about the vile, Michigan abortionist Alberto Hodari's abominable practice of treating babies, made in God's image, as garbage should be a wake up call to America.
Sadly, Mark Crutcher is correct!
"The only difference between Hodari and the typical abortion provider is that Hodari got caught," said Mark Crutcher, founder and president of Life Dynamics."

OBAMA'S PASTOR - PRO-ABORT AND PRO EUTHANASIA!!
Jill Stanek's blog recently
revealed that Senator Obama's "Spiritual Advisor" is associated with a sham religious organization, RCAR - Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
Lifetree.org added insult to injury yesterday with the revelation that the Wright reverend has also shown up around America hawking the end of life pro-death mantra:
"Barack Obama's minister for the past 20 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, has been in the news this past week for his hate-filled rhetoric. His name, and his church, sounded familiar. Now I know why.
Back in 2004, as right-to-die group Partnership for Caring transitioned into "Last Acts Partnership," Rev. Wright's name was listed (on their website) as a member of the Board of Directors for Last Acts Partnership. Rev. Wright and a deacon from his church -- Rosalyn Priester -- participated in Richard Payne's "Last Miles" conference (funded by Soros's Project on Death, and by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation). Payne's institute at Duke focuses on educating African-Americans on end-of-life issues, and the Institute is not exactly pro-life.
When Terri died, they were one of the first out of the box to host a conference to explain that her death was not euthanasia; it was merely an ugly family disagreement. The Institute perpetuates the myth that withholding/withdrawing is a good death. Wright's church has participated heavily in the Duke projects, in Last Acts, and in the RWJF faith-based programs. (http://www.iceol.duke.edu/resources/lastmiles/papers/11.html )
This is the culture of death, folks. Ironic that Wright berates the US for not respecting life, when he himself is promoting this stuff. And this has been Barack Obama's church home for two decades."
Could the vile hate speech emanating from Obama's pastor be the natural outcome of a heart filled with darkness?

YESENIA'S AMAZING DAY!!
When Yesenia rode to her appointment with death, at Denver's Planned Parenthood killing place today, she never knew she'd be approached by Jo Scott.
Jo spoke to her for 30 minutes about the humanity and dignity
of her baby and how God didn't want her to kill. Yesenia went
into the clinic but 30 minutes later she came out in tears.
I watched her collapse into Jo's loving arms and sob with the
realization of what she almost did.
She shared her ultrasound photos with us:
As you can see she will be having twins next fall. She decided for LIFE!! And we Praise God for all who were there today being voices for the voiceless.
Many Denver women killed today, but Yesenia will someday stand before the Lord and thank him for the double blessing He sent her.
The Silver Dollars are gifts from Jo to the women who keep their babies. As a precious metal they are symbols of how precious the moms and babies are in God's sight!

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A pro-life organization that monitors corporations that provide contributions to Planned Parenthood says Bank of America and Wachovia need to come clean about donations the companies have made to the nation's largest abortion business. Both corporations appear on Life Decisions International's boycott list.
LDI president Douglas Scott tells LifeNews.com that "Bank of America continues to play word games in an attempt to mislead consumers" and "Wachovia is not any better."

Cici is naturally white, but her owner, Joy Douglas, dyes her to raise awareness of breast cancer. Some who saw Cici complained to the Humane Society, and Douglas got a ticket. (Special to The Denver Post )
"Even in Boulder, there are some things that just aren't cool.
Like coloring your poodle pink with beet juice to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Joy Douglas, owner of Zing Hair Salon at 1100 Spruce St., has received a $1,000 ticket from an animal-control officer for coloring her white poodle, Cici, pink by using organic beet juice.
"We do it to promote awareness of breast cancer," said Douglas, 30, who has owned the large hair salon for three years. "Cici is a conversation piece. Customers come in and ask why the dog is pink. So we tell them about breast-cancer awareness, about the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and then we ask for a donation." ( continued . . .)
Now I have my problems with the Susan G Komen Foundation giving $$ to Planned Parenthood but come on, how is having a pink poodle hurting anyone?

does his dirty work, Boulder is worried about whether a poodle is too pink?

Mom who cared for comatose daughter for 38 years dies
BY TERE FIGUERAS NEGRETE
She never broke her promise.
Kaye O'Bara, who pledged to never leave her then-teenage daughter's side as the girl slipped into a diabetic coma 38 years ago, died at her Miami Gardens home this week -- in the same room she shared with her child, Edwarda, since 1970.
O'Bara, 80, died in her sleep. She had suffered for years from a cardiac illness that dated back to a heart attack in the early 1980s, said her niece Pamela Burdgick.
''We thought she'd outlive us all. The woman was so strong,'' Burdgick said.
The story of O'Bara's steadfast devotion to her child, and her belief that Edwarda's life was not a burden but a blessing, inspired countless visitors who passed by the small one-story O'Bara home over the decades. Well-wishers traveled from as far away as Japan to take part in the annual celebration of Edwarda's birthday -- as did fellow Catholics and others who believed Kaye O'Bara had seen apparitions of the Virgin Mary and sought to pray at the bedside of her sleeping daughter.
Her story also inspired bestselling author Dr. Wayne Dyer to write the book ``A Promise Is A Promise: An Almost Unbelievable Story of a Mother's UnconditionalLove and What It Can Teach Us.''

HOW MANY BABIES FACE A WATERY GRAVE?
Colorado's focus on a 4-6 month prematurely delivered
baby boy, recently found in the sewers, raises an interesting
question. Just what exactly do abortionists do with the
pre-born babies they kill at a rate of nearly 4,000 every
day?
Years ago, the Mayfair Clinic was accused of putting them
in garbage disposals.
Former abortion providers, Carol Everett and Kathy Sparks
indicate putting babies in garbage disposals and flushing them into the sewers is/was rather routine.
The Mayfair Clinic, sadly graduated from this heinous practice to one which maximized their profit.
Yes folks, these tiny ones, made in God's image bring in big bucks when their dissected body parts
are sold.
So the question lingers.
Why all the fuss about a baby being found in Denver's waste water treatment facility,
when this is a routine practice by abortionists around the nation??

FETAL FOLLOW UP
Fetus found at wasterwater plant, police have suspect
The Associated Press
Article Last Updated: 03/03/2008 11:48:26 PM MST
COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Police have a suspect in a case of a fetus found at a wastewater treatment plant that was likely flushed down a toilet.
Police did not say how they focused on a suspect after the fetus was found Sunday morning at the Metro Wastewater Reclamation plant, which treats 140-million gallons of water a day from a 300-square-mile area.
Commerce City police officer, Lanissa Blevens told Denver station KDVR-TV that based on size, the fetus was in the second trimester of gestation, somewhere between 4 to 6 months.
Blevens said the suspect could face charges of abuse of corpse, to possible concealment of death.

Minnesota plan: Clone embryos and kill them!
State House also would force taxpayers to fund program
WorldNetDaily
Rep. Phyllis Kahn, DFL-Minneapolis
Lawmakers in Minnesota have given their endorsement to a University of Minnesota plan to clone human embryos for "research," force taxpayers to pay for it, and then kill those embryos when the "research" work is finished.
The preliminary approval came on a recent 68-62 vote in which representatives rejected an amendment would be a true ban on cloning, and the "Kahn Cloning Bill, S.F. 100" could be brought up for a further vote at any time, opponents said.
The amendment provided language that would have promoted ethical adult stem cell research with a true ban on cloning human embryos, but that was rejected in favor of S.F. 100, sponsored by Rep. Phyllis Kahn, DFL-Minneapolis.
That plan has been described by supporters as a cloning ban, but it only bans "cloning" that results in a human being, not cloning that results in living human embryos.
"House members … had a chance to do the right thing and protect vulnerable human life, but instead they chose to treat human life as mere raw material for experimentation," said Andrea Rau, a legislative associate with the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life. "Citizens are outraged to see their taxes being spent on such unjust treatment of human life."
At the center of the issue are the lives of the unborn embryos. WND had reported just a day earlier on GOP presidential race also-ran Gov. Mike Huckabee had endorsed Colorado's "personhood" plan.

MEDICAL JOURNAL: FEDERAL AGENCIES, ACADEMICIANS SUPPRESS EVIDENCE OF BREAST CANCER RISK FACTORS
"Both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a component of the NIH, have violated their mission statements....There is evidence of widespread fraud in connection with NIH-funded research....More alarmingly, NIH proved to be a corrupting influence (on scientists)...." -Angela Lanfranchi, MD, Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons
An article in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons on Saturday accused federal agencies and academicians of being impediments to women's rights to direct their healthcare. [1] The author, Angela Lanfranchi, MD, clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, provided shocking examples to show they have suppressed information concerning the breast cancer risks of oral contraceptives and abortion.
Lanfranchi's examples include:
1) A study in the journal Nature documenting fraud among NIH grantees; [2]
2) Contradictory statements on the NCI's website about oral contraceptives as a cancer risk;
3) "Blatantly incorrect information" on the NCI's website saying that estrogen levels decrease during pregnancy, perhaps to avoid explaining why early first full term pregnancy reduces risk, but premature birth before 32 weeks and abortion raise risk;
4) Failure to admit during its 2003 workshop [3] that the premature birth-breast cancer link is explained by the same hormonal changes that account for an abortion-breast cancer (ABC) link;
5) An NCI workshop leader who told CancerPage.com that she didn't want the ABC link to be included in the discussion of abortion's legality;
6) NCI directors who misled a reporter and a New Jersey State Senator;
7) A medical text that omits early full-term pregnancy as a means of prevention because having more than two children per woman is bad for the ecology; and
8) Breast cancer groups with political influence whose leaders have a conflict of interest through because of strong connections to the abortion industry.
"It's time to stop this con job and tell women the truth about these risk factors for breast cancer," demanded Karen Malec, president of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer.
The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer is an international women's organization founded to protect the health and save the lives of women by educating and providing information on abortion as a risk factor for breast cancer.

Free condoms in businesses part of new Planned Parenthood marketing campaign
By Cari Merrill

Local bars participating in a Planned Parenthood marketing campaign by allowing safe sex literature and condoms to circulate around their establishments said they’re doing their part to promote safe sex.
But one restaurant and bar manager was “shocked” when she found out that material was distributed in her bar without prior approval. And some of the target audience questions the campaign’s effectiveness.
Coasters and business cards with safe sex tips and Planned Parenthood resources as well as free condoms circulated around the Old Town Old Chicago bar the night of Jan. 25. Manager Joanna Hennessy learned about that night on Monday morning and was upset that it wasn’t approved first.
“That is not something we do. I would have heard about it,” she said Monday morning.
Hennessy approves of the Planned Parenthood organization but doesn’t think its materials belong in a place of business. “It’s kind of disconcerting. We’re an eating and pizza establishment. We don’t want to bombard our guests when they’re out enjoying their dinners.”
The information and condoms are part of a relatively new marketing campaign by Planned Parenthood, said Katie Groke Ellis, public affairs coordinator for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. Volunteers travel to different bars and disseminate the information with business’ approval.
Old Chicago was not on the list of places to hand out information Jan. 25 but Groke Ellis said volunteers stopped in for dinner, a bartender was interested in the information and it was passed around the bar. Groke Ellis has heard no complaints from the restaurant, but Hennessy said Monday morning was the first she had heard about the distribution.

Another "fetus" story
"an unborn or unhatched vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind; specifically : a developing human from usually two months after conception to birth"
Is it just me or does it seem like the media really like to get it wrong with their obsession on
the word fetus?

COMMERCE CITY - Police say what appears to be a human fetus was found at the Metro Waste Reclamation District Sunday morning.
Workers found the fetus in a device used to filter sewage around 9:30 a.m.
Commerce City Police say they believe they know who was responsible for putting the fetus at the facility. Police officers reached Monday could not give any information about the suspect because the investigation is ongoing.
The fetus has been turned over to the Adams County Coroner's Office.
If the fetus is determined to not have been viable, meaning it never drew air, police say potential charges could be abuse of a corpse or concealment of death. If the fetus did draw air, the charges could be more serious.
This 9News Denver story is a classic example of the ongoing effort to dehumanize the pre-born, in
my opinion.
How hard would it be to call this poor tiny one found in the sewer what he or she clearly was -
a baby whose mother thought so little of him or her that she threw the baby in with the city's effluent.
Tragic loss and tragic that the news is so stuck in their denial of the humanity and dignity of innocent,
pre-born human life.

Once in Coma, Girl May Testify Against Alleged Attacker
Doctors Said Haleigh Poutre Would Never Recover; Two Years Later, She May Testify in Court
By SCOTT MICHELS
March 3, 2008 —
More than two years after Haleigh Poutre was so brutally beaten she was left in a coma from which she was never expected to revive, the 14-year-old girl may be well enough to testify against the man accused of abusing her.
Haleigh, who was once thought to be so irreversibly brain damaged that doctors planned to remove her from life support, has spent the last two years recovering at the Franciscan Hospital for Children near Boston.
She began breathing on her own and showing other signs of brain activity in January 2006, just days before doctors planned to remove her ventilator.
Now, she is reportedly able to communicate and recall her alleged attack.
Her recovery may set up a dramatic confrontation if she takes the witness stand and testifies against her stepfather, Jason Strickland, who is accused of beating her into a coma in September 2005.
It was Strickland who fought to keep Haleigh alive in late 2005 when the Massachusetts Department of Social Services sought to remove her from life support.
"It's nothing short of phenomenal to have someone who is essentially given up for dead survive this and come out of a coma and be able to articulate what happened to her," said Tim Burke, a former prosecutor and longtime criminal defense lawyer in Boston.
According to court documents filed by Strickland's defense attorney, Haleigh has made abuse allegations against her stepfather. Court papers asking to postpone Strickland's trial say his attorney, Alan Black, has received new child abuse reports from the district attorney's office.
"It appears from [the report] that the victim is now making statements alleging abuse by the defendant," the papers say.
"This creates issues concerning competency and her ability to testify and recall events in light of her severe head trauma," say the court papers, which were first reported last week by the Boston Globe and the Springfield Republican.
The prospect of seeing Haleigh on the witness stand disturbs her biological mother, who gave up custody of her daughter when the girl was 4 and who has been barred from visiting her by the Department of Social Services.
"I'm worried about her emotional state," Allison Avrett, who now says she regrets relinquishing custody, told ABC News. "I don't think she should have to relive this."
Among all the relatives and doctors who have moved in and out of Haleigh's short life, it appears that Strickland may in fact deserve the most credit for keeping her alive.
Haleigh was brought to the hospital Sept. 11, 2005, by Strickland and Haleigh's aunt, who was also her adopted mother. Haleigh, then 11, was comatose and covered in bruises, court records say; her body temperature had dropped to 85 degrees.
The Massachusetts DSS was given custody of the girl and in October 2005 sought to remove her from life support.

'Abortion is a racist, genocidal act'
Jonathan Falwell lauds Alveda King's stark words about 'holocaust' of unborn
Posted: March 01, 2008

By Jonathan Falwell
The words in the headline are not my own. They were proclaimed by Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at a Black History Month event in Washington, D.C., this week. At the event, she noted her intent of rebuffing the modern-day claim that her uncle was an abortion-rights supporter.
In her speech, she observed that, while her uncle did receive an award from Planned Parenthood in 1966, the group then bore what she termed a "hidden agenda."
In fact, the dirty secret of Planned Parenthood is this: Its founder, a one-time nurse named Margaret Sanger, believed that America needed "to cut down on the rapid multiplication of the unfit and undesirable at home" through methods of eugenics. Merriam-Webster defines eugenics this way: "a science that deals with the improvement (as by control of human mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed."
Much evidence points to Sanger being a racist. To stop the "multiplication" of those she saw as unfit, Sanger sought to halt "medical and nursing facilities to slum mothers," as she wrote in her book, "The Pivot of Civilization." (Of course, we cannot depend on our so-called mainstream media to report on Sanger's shameful writings.)

When Does Human Life Begin?
by Dr. Jerome Lejeune
The late Dr. Jerome Lejeune was an internationally known geneticist and a professor of genetics at the University of Rene Descartes in Paris. Dr. Lejeune received the Kennedy Award from the late President for his discovery that Down's syndrome (Trisomy 21) was due to an extra chromosome. Dr. Lejeune contributed greatly to genetic research to prevent and treat Trisomy 21. The following testimony was given by Dr. Lejeune before a U.S. Senate Judiciary subcommittee.
When does a person begin? I will try to give the most precise answer to that question actually available to science. Modern biology teaches us that ancestors are united to their progeny by a continuous material link, for it is from the fertilization of the female cell (the ovum) by the male cell (the spermatozoa) that a new member of the species will emerge. Life has a very, very long history but each individual has a very neat beginning:
the moment of its conception.
The material link is the molecular thread of DNA. In each reproductive cell, this ribbon, roughly one meter long, is cut into pieces (23 in our species). Each segment is carefully coiled and packaged (like a magnetic tape in a minicassette) so that under the microscope it appears like a little rod, a chromosome.
As soon as the 23 paternally derived chromosomes are united, through fertilization, to the 23 maternal ones, the full genetic information necessary and sufficient to express all the inborn qualities of the new individual is gathered. Exactly as the introduction of a minicassette inside a tape recorder will allow the restitution of the symphony, the new being begins to express himself as soon as he has been conceived.
Natural sciences and the sciences of law speak the same language. Of an individual enjoying a robust health - a biologist would say that he has a good constitution -of a society developing itself harmoniously to the benefit of all its members, a legislator would state that it has an equitable constitution.
Nature works the same way. The chromosomes are the tables of the law of life, and when they have been gathered in the new being (the voting process is the fertilization), they fully spell-out his personal constitution.
What is bewildering is the minuteness of the scripture. It is hard to believe, although beyond any possible doubt, that the whole genetic information necessary and sufficient to build our body and even our brain, the most powerful problem-solving device, even able to analyze the laws of the universe, could be epitomized so that its material substratum could fit neatly on the point of a needle!
