Chocolate and champagne to aid Planned Parenthood
Event marks 20th anniversary in Athens

Planned Parenthood of Southeast Ohio will conduct its signature event and fundraiser, Chocolate and Champagne, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the rotunda of Margaret M. Walter Hall on the Ohio University campus in Athens.

This year is the 20th anniversary for the event. Many local business owners and individuals sponsor the event, and the evening features free champagne and delectable delights including coffees and other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as sumptuous chocolate and hors d'oeuvres. A cash bar with wine and beer also will be on site.

A live auction with Shamrock Auctioneers Wanda and Pat Sheridan, as well as area MCs Tanya Conrath and Tom Quinn, will headline the entertainment, with silent and choice raffle auctions rounding out the fun. Live music featuring jazz pianist Jim Wachtel also will accompany the event.
