Abortionist: I cancel human souls before they become babies

Former Clinton OB-GYN makes admission in e-mail

By Bob Unruh
WorldNetDaily

An abortionist who claims to have destroyed more than 20,000 unborn children and who once was Hillary Clinton's OB-GYN says he is doing "God's work" when he terminates a pregnancy.

"Embryos and fetuses spontaneously aborted – most, but not all of those 'canceled' by 'God' – are ... luckless human souls," wrote William Harrison, referring to an ancient poem describing the plight of mankind. "But a few spontaneous abortions occur in desired pregnancies with no discernable abnormalities. For those girls and women and their families whose circumstances would make their babies 'luckless human souls,' I 'cancel' them before they become babies."

Harrison's comments came in an e-mail to Warren Throckmorton, whose work has been published by journals of the American Psychological Association, the American Mental Health Counseling Association and the Christian Association for Psychological Studies. He documented his exchange with Harrison on his blog.

A FITTING REPLY TO THIS DEMONIC THINKING

Prayers that Mr. Harrison hears this beautiful
defense from on high by Jillstanek.com regular

William Harrison:

Lest your sin find you out, and you are found weeping at the foot of the cross realizing what wrethchedness you have wrought, hencewith, the canceling of God's own intents; one score times one thousand calling evil good and good evil, thereby, sitting in the place of the Most High God, hearest this and weep......with all thine mind, thine heart, and thine soul pleading that you not suffer the holy indignation; the works of thine hands and, be found begging for your loved ones' warning of such eternal trap as thine own mind and heart and hands and pride have fashioned......by the "self-named cancelling" each least of these Lazarus-Jesus-Innocents crying out from under the altar of God's mercy seat....waiting for the shedding of their innocent blood that has polluted the land to be justified.

For this is what our Lord has spoken against you:

Abortion is an affront to the creative nature of God, it negates God as Creator,

Abortion denies the power of God to right a wrong, it negates God as Redeemer,

Abortion makes that which is good, the birth of human life, into that which is evil, the death of human life, and then calls it good, the very definition of blasphemy,

Abortion negates the resurrection power of God as it takes flesh that is alive in it's earthly abode (the womb) and kills it, while God takes that flesh which is dead in it's earthly abode (the grave) and desires to make it alive,

Abortion's desire is to take that which was composed from the chaotic array of elemental molecules into a symphony of life infused with an eternal soul, and turn it back to the entropy of randomness, chaos, nothingness, uselessness.

Abortion is against all that is hopeful, all that requires faith for success; for it's solution; annihilation, it's goal; death, it's dream; breaking God's heart, it's vision, Satan's ultimate power.

Abortion is a counterfeit, for the clawprints of Satan are everywhere to be found in its performance;

Abortion disguises hate as love, bondage as freedom, choice as maturity, sin as righteousness, political correctness as wisdom,

Abortion pits men against women, mothers against their children, fathers against God, Yes, abortion is Satan's feeble attempt at killing God Himself, for abortion is a metaphor for Satan; it is his coat of arms, his family crest, his logo, his brand, it belongs to him......for he laughs at its willing proponents as they craft their own self-destruction, mantled in self-deception.

Will you be found naked and alone in the tortured sea of your own arrogance?

WE REALLY WANT TO BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY!!

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains has finished its $6.3 million headquarters in Stapleton almost three months ahead of schedule, the organization said.

The three-story building at East 38th Avenue and Pontiac Street will serve as a medical facility and will house the organization's administration. It opened last week.

Anti-abortion groups protested outside the construction site almost every day since work began in November, but they were unable to stall the project, said Leslie Durgin, senior vice president for community development.
Planned Parenthood construction sites have received heavy flak from anti-abortion groups. Contractors walked off the job in Austin, Texas, after protesters threatened to boycott future projects. The facility opened months after its scheduled date.Durgin said the Stapleton facility also offers reproductive health care education.

"It's really important to us that we are open to the community," she said. "We really want to be part of this community and this neighborhood."

Leslie Hanks, vice president of Colorado Right to Life, said anti-abortion groups will continue to protest outside the building.
"The unjust taking of human lives will be opposed for as long as the killing goes on," she said.

Durgin said the area is fenced, so protesters won't be a problem for patients.

Meeting Hostility with Hospitality 2008

Arlington VA, July 8 – The fireworks continued. American Right To Life's hospitality suite atop the Crystal City Hyatt at National RTL's 36th annual convention [search for 'timeframe'] has demonstrated that the personhood wing of the pro-life movement is advancing, while the child-killing regulators are on the defensive.

Evidence was everywhere that the message from our hospitality suite last year spread widely among pro-life activists around the country. In 2007, our team had to work hard to demonstrate that the partial-birth abortion ban was a failure, in that, as James Dobson later admitted in writing, it "did not save a single human life." This year, a number of NRTL conventioneers enjoying our good food and drink volunteered to us that "the PBA ban didn't stop any abortions."

Disgruntled NRTL President: Unhappy with American RTL's leadership in helping to get personhood on the November 2008 ballot in Colorado and in widely exposing the failure of all abortion regulations, including the 15-year PBA effort, National RTL president Wanda Franz caused a scene by berating a great-grandmother who is a member of our hospitality team. At one of the NRTL exhibition booths, Connie Sharin had just purchased a bracelet, "I speak up for the unborn," and realized that someone was "standing guard" by her. Connie had been talking to an elderly gentleman and his wife, NRTL exhibitors, about the fabulous TV commercials at LifeCommercials.com, produced by ARTL vice president Steve Curtis. The one standing guard was Wanda and in front of onlookers, she angrily claimed that "American RTL is lying", but offered no example.

"If our group has made a mistake on the factual record of what has transpired in the pro-life industry," said Brian Rohrbough, president of American Right To Life, "of course we stand ready to correct ourselves and apologize. We ask Dr. Franz to indicate what she believes we've erred about. She is either correct, or she is wrong. We don't believe we're wrong in our serious charges of moral relativism and deceit lodged against those who regulate child killing. It does seem certain, however, that either Wanda or myself has misrepresented the truth."

Connie told Wanda that American RTL helped the Colorado for Equal Rights campaign in their historic accomplishment putting personhood on their statewide ballot, and despite disagreements, we and NRTL should be able to celebrate that together. Wanda disagreed, and claimed that it's the wrong time because we first need another judge on the Supreme Court. However, a hundred people coming up to our hospitality suite received a copy of our press release about our $10,000 Offer to Nat'l RTL to name a single pro-life justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Just one.

Meanwhile our representatives who attended the convention sessions suggested that much of the bottom line message, including the talks on Health Care, was partisan politics. Most lobbying groups donate funds to political parties, but the Washington Post has reported a very rare reversal: that the Republican National Committee has donated $100,000 directly to Nat'l RTL and raised another $$650,000 for NRTL, calling into question the objectivity of the group which claims that, for example, that John McCain is against government funding of abortion whereas the U.S. Senate's official website indicates that the last time John McCain allocated funds to kill by surgical abortion unborn children was as recently as Oct. 27, 2005, targeting kids whose fathers are accused of being criminals, unborn lives McCain deems unworthy of love and protection.

National RTL welcomed infamous New York abortionist Bill Baird and his unrepentant wife to walk the convention floor (this mass murderer had, after all, paid his registration fee). Yet two conventioneers from Colorado, authors previously unknown to our team, came up to our suite and expressed their shock that while NRTL was hostile to American RTL, they personally witnessed NRTL being so very accommodating to this notorious abortionist.

One NRTL conventioneer spent days riding a Greyhound bus across country to get to D.C., necessarily without stopping to shower. If you judge by first appearance, you might think this man, we'll call him Brian, was indigent and somewhat disorderly. We're thankful that Nat'l RTL sent Brian up to our suite: "Just look for the American Right To Life sign," he was told. One of our team, a nurse practitioner, said it appeared to her that he had a touch of autism and that this masked an extraordinary mind and memory. We welcomed this very hungry man and fed him the best meal he had eaten in days, and then talked with him. Brian brought to our attention extraordinary information that he realized would help us in our battle to promote personhood and end the era of the child-killing regulators. Brian said this information appeared on page 181 of a biographical book that we would never have read, and by the next day, he had obtained a copy of the book, presumably from a local bookstore, and we photocopied information that will appear in a press release ARTL will issue, Lord willing, in October. Thanks Brian!

Among the leaders American RTL spoke with were folks from three other countries in the Americas and Europe, one of whom was the chairman of his country's Right To Life group. Leaving him and his country unnamed for now, he spent a few hours with us during our second and third days, including watching our Focus on the Strategy II in our theater, and asked for a copy of our bylaws considering whether to urge his group to become an affiliate of American RTL. Praise God!

Another foreign pro-lifer spent a couple hours in our hospitality suite, over days one and two, and eventually invited American RTL to attend a strategy session in his country later this summer during which their major pro-life groups will assemble to discuss their ongoing efforts to end abortion. We will attend this vital meeting, finances permitting and Lord willing. Praise God!

ARTL spokesman Bob Enyart had a lengthy talk with a staff attorney employed by one of the largest pro-life litigation groups in the nation. The productive discussion explored the unintended moral consequences of Christians who wrongly think they are justified in negotiating with the right to life of children. Please pray for both Bob and this unnamed Christian attorney, that God will bring them both into deeper truth and service to our Lord.

Friends of American RTL invited the team to avoid the massive crowds at the National Mall and view the Fourth of July fireworks from a luxurious home on the banks of the Potomac. Great fun was had by all!

Some non-conventioneers came by. Two families from the D.C. suburbs came up to our suite, as did a local medical student, to find out about American RTL and watch our strategy DVD. One woman, the administrative assistant at a 300-member Bible church, asked for a copy of our Focus II DVD to show at her church. And all such visitors were thankful to learn so much about honoring God through the personhood strategy to protect the innocent!

And finally, while National RTL complained to the Hyatt Hotel in an attempt to pull the plug on ARTL, we hosted more than 100 conventioneers, had important talks with dozens of others, and opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with some unbelievers, all in a few days of outreach. National's complaints against us led to the police being called in, and ARTL officials turned the meetings with hotel directors, security and police, into peaceful and respectful times of blessing, and when the police came back to the hotel in hopes of getting pro-life information to share with others, they bypassed the NRTL convention and came to American RTL. We thank God for blessings, great and small!

This report is for Friday and Saturday, July 4-5, days two and three of our three-day Meeting Hostility with Hospitality project. And check out this two-minute video we made for fun with Pro-Life News TV at the Lincoln Memorial with our very own anti-abortion Lincoln lookalike as we were leaving town!

p.s. PBA Update: Almost no one we talked to seemed to doubt that the Partial Birth Abortion Ban accomplished nothing but waste time and money. Most on our team encountered not a single person who disagreed, like they certainly would have a year ago. Even one lady who came up to defend NRTL corrected her own son when he seemed to think the PBA ban actually outlawed partial-birth abortion. She turned to him and explained that it only changed the procedure a little, a four-inch variation from the neck to the navel. If even our angriest enemies (and she was angry!) now admit the futility of NRTL's primary objective over 15 years, then the Personhood movement is really picking up steam!

Since our full-page open letters to Dr. Dobson exposing the harm of the PBA ban effort, the Christian leaders who have been condemning the immoral PBA ruling include Judge Roy Moore, former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice; Nellie Gray, D.C. March for Life, Bob Dornan, 20-year U.S. Congressman; Brian Rohrbough, American RTL; Ambassador Alan Keyes; Rev. Tom Euteneuer, Human Life International; Judie Brown, American Life League; John Archibold, co-founder, Nat'l RTL; Prof. Charles Rice, Notre Dame Law School; Dr. Patrick Johnston, ProLife Physicians; Jim Rudd, Editor Covenant News; Cliff Zarsky, Corpus Christi RTL; Chris Mohr, Ohio RTL board member; Erik Whittington, Rock for Life; John Lofton, The American View; Eric Guttormson, TheologyOnline.com; Brian Martin, TheologyWeb.com; Jim Anderson, LifeCommercials.com; Cal Zastrow, Michigan Citizens for Life; Judie Zabik, Michigan Personhood Leader; Matt Trewhella, Missionaries to the Preborn; Brannon Howse, Christian Worldview Net; David Brownlow, Life Support Oregon; Louis Wein, former NYC Ass't Mayor; Steve Curtis, former State Chair, Colorado GOP; Julie Niccum, Wisconsin Personhood Leader; Jo Scott, ProLife Colorado; Gino Geraci, Calvary Chapel South Denver; Bob Enyart, Denver Bible Church; Chuck Baldwin, Crossroad Baptist Church; Rev. Clennard Childress, LEARN, BlackGenocide.org; Eve Silver, Former Komen advisor; Leslie Hanks, Colorado Right To Life; Flip Benham, Operation Rescue National. Many of those initially angry at us for exposing the PBA fiasco now admit this failure themselves. -ARTL

National RTL Fails to Pull the Plug

Arlington, VA, July 4 – The fireworks in Washington D.C. have not been relegated to the National Mall. American RTL is hosting another hospitality suite in a series of connected rooms at National RTL's annual convention on the top floor of the Crystal City Hyatt.

Scores of NRTL conventioneers are streaming into the ARTL suites to enjoy good food and drink, and to consider the moral argument for the personhood strategy toward ending "legalized" child killing. A NRTL conventioneer from Virginia told our hospitality team that Nellie Gray, main organizer of the D.C. March for Life, argues that a 'pro-life' law is a bad law if it ends with the words, "and then you can kill the baby." Praise the Lord for Nellie and the rapid spread of truth through the pro-life community!

The Hyatt told ARTL that we could place a poster advertisement for our hospitality suite on a tripod in their lobby inviting folks to our Regency Suite to celebrate the "personhood amendment on Colorado's November ballot!" Four things happened immediately after Hyatt personnel placed our poster in their lobby.

First, pro-lifers immediately came to our suite. Second, NRTL officials insisted that the Hyatt remove our poster. Third, Hyatt removed our poster. Fourth, we held our first meeting with Hyatt officials.

Our ARTL hospitality suite was on the same floor as the John McCain's, although ours was twice as large and far nicer with flowers, red white and blue decorations, much better food and drink, shrimp cocktails, literature, DVDs, darkened theater, media center, better seating, etc. However, after NRTL's complaint, the Hyatt officials maintained that even though ARTL is renting a significant section of the top floor of their hotel, and even though the Hyatt had posted our notice in their lobby, and even though they admitted that, "yes, we misrepresented that you could post your notice in our lobby," still, they would not restore our notice to its tripod.

Attorney James Odom, representing ARTL, told the hotel's general manager that since the Hyatt would not post our small poster board notice in the lobby as had been promised, we would hold signs in front of the hotel with enlarged versions of the poster, blown up to a huge 48-square feet. The hotel called in the Arlington Virginia police, and told ARTL officials that if they stood on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, they would be arrested.

Businesses and police officers often claim that protests in front of businesses are illegal, falsely claiming that public sidewalks are private property (rarely are sidewalks actually on private property). So, veteran street activist and ARTL spokesman Bob Enyart surveyed the scene and decided not to challenge the hotel's claim. Instead, the protesters organized across the street. The front of the Hyatt is all glass, hundreds of hotel rooms, glass elevators, enormous lobby windows spanning two floors, etc. By holding signs on the sidewalk directly in front of the hotel, only those entering and leaving the hotel would see them. Instead, by standing across the street, ARTL's massive protest signs were visible and readable to the entire hotel!

We had a team of ten people hosting our hospitality suite. Within a couple hours, it was evident to all that not only the NRTL conventioneers, but at least a couple thousand people were aware that our ARTL hospitality suite was on the 18th floor. And they started streaming in.

Pro-life leaders. NEA teachers. Activists. Pro-life attorneys. Convention exhibitors. NEA teachers. Pro-life teenagers. They just kept coming. We had lengthy talks with dozens of important people in the battle against abortion, from leaders in the anti-euthanasia movement, to reporters, to activists from Canada and Spain. One pro-life attorney from New Jersey, Howard, heard ARTL argue the case against regulating abortion and then when the call went out that we needed a second string to replace those holding the signs outside, he volunteered to pull a 90-minute shift and he held up on end of a massive sign while inviting those with NRTL badges to "go on up for free food and drink to Suite 1811." And a supportive chiropractor, not one to stand on a street corner and hold a protest sign, helped out by suggesting stretching techniques and even did some heavy lifting holding a side of one of the larger signs for a couple hours!

Peter Shinn of Pro-Life Unity took advantage of our "media center" and set up an ad hoc studio with lights, tripod and video camera and interviewed ARTL spokesmen. Later this evening, Peter phoned to tell ARTL that he was determined to work for a personhood effort in his state of Virginia. Praise God!

An Abraham Lincoln lookalike who has worked for years at Mt. Rushmore, Everett Stadig, traveled from Denver to D.C. to help ARTL host this hospitality suite in grand style! Abe was a major attraction out on the street, with many conventioneers, and tourists, asking to take pictures with him in his full regalia and stovepipe hat. Abe told everyone that we're "dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal -- NO EXCEPTIONS!" And he'd say, "If you can't remember Suite 1811, just remember that I was born in 1809, and then go to the next door" :). And Abe did not discriminate between pro-lifers and others, for the National Education Association had their own simultaneous convention with hundreds of delegates staying at the very Hyatt hosting NRTL's convention. So, Abe invited the NEA delegates, known for being pro-abortion, to the American Right To Life hospitality suite! ARTL had set up a Lincoln Theater in their suite, equipped with a projector, and three PCs showing various DVDs: Focus on the Strategy, Romney Fairytale Ads, Forty Years in the Wilderness, and the Planned Parenthood racism YouTube video. When African American NEA teachers entered the suite, after they filled their plates with good food and sat around the living room, Leslie Hanks, longtime Denver pro-life leader, showed them the Planned Parenthood racism video to great effect!

Various regional pro-life leaders either came to our hospitality suite, or sent word wishing us well. We've been distributing the 600 copies of glossy and colorful ARTL literature and press releases we brought, as well as the 200 DVDs. Our ARTL team includes a former governor's speech writer, pastors, a flight attendant, a nurse practitioner, and other professionals, as well as ground support from Christians in the D.C. area. One of our team members, a great-grandmother, relaxed in the late evening in the hotel's hot tub, and spent a half out talking with the teenage kids of NRTL conventioneers who were surprised and fascinated to learn about Colorado's personhood amendment.

This report is for yesterday, Thursday, July 3, the first of our three-day project, Meeting Hostility with Hospitality. Despite undeniable signs of life, NRTL tried but failed to pull the plug on the ARTL event! Please pray that this project goes well and honors God! (Oh yeah, and also, that we don't get kicked out of the hotel :).

VINDICATION !!!!!!!

I am pro-choice
Posted by PalMD under culture wars, fundamentalism

I don’t say that to attract or alienate readers. I respect many people who oppose abortion on moral grounds (unless they are physicians and refuse to give their patients correct information, but that is a topic for another day). But wherever you fall in the abortion debate, you should be willing to admit that truth is important. Today’s Denver Post follows a local controversy about a Planned Parenthood clinic. My views on this are irrelevant. What irks me is the statement from the Vice President of Colorado Right to Life, Leslie Hanks. According to Hanks:

Let’s face it, they’re in the business to kill babies for profit. First and foremost, they get young girls hooked on their birth control pills, which don’t work.

Now, I don’t believe the first statement, but that’s the Right to Life line…it’s an opinion, however hyperbolic–opinions can be foolish, but not wrong. It’s the second statement that is, well, a lie. Actually it’s a damned lie. I’m not sure what she means about “getting girls hooked on BCPs”, but I do know that oral contraceptive pills (OCPs) work. To say otherwise is a lie. Yes, a lie. She is a lying liar who lies a lot.

I don’t think it helps her position on abortion to bleed over into a debate about contraception, and she does everyone a disservice by lying. She should be ashamed.

Expert: The Pill is outdated and leads to unwanted pregnancies and abortion

By Ruben Obregon

Professor James Trussell, a well recognized expert on contraceptives, told attendees of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service conference "The Pill is an outdated method because it does not work well enough. It is very difficult for ordinary women to take a pill every single day..."

Though he did not intend to, his statement in some ways vindicates those who argue that the net impact of the pill has been an increase in unwanted pregnancies and abortion.

The push to use multiple methods of contraception, along with Trussell's statement, is an admission that, at the population level, contraceptive programs and technologies have largely been a failure.

Predictably, Trussell doesn't advocate abstinence over the pill - for some reason the contraception crowd simply cannot fathom a cultural shift towards abstinence. Instead, he calls for increased use of the IUD: "The beauty of the implant or the IUD is that you can forget about them." IUDs have their own problems, including the "cost" of obtaining them as well as various side effects.

Trussell also mentioned that studies indicated that women miss more pills than they recall - something that, at least in this author's mind, may cast further doubt on the calculated failure rates of combined methods as published by Santelli et al(2006).

Trussell's statement should bring into focus the public funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion chain and one of the largest distributors of the pill.

Planned Parenthood is well aware of the problems with the pill, yet over the past few decades it has provided it to minors – sans parental consent – using public funding. In the long run, a large population of sexually active teens and young adults dependant on the pill or other contraceptive methods to engage in sexual activity, sustains the demand for abortion. Planned Parenthood is well aware of this and has capitalized on it to grow their abortion practice - at the taxpayer's expense.

Trussell's admission should be a catalyst to re-evaluate both the public funding of contraception programs and cultural permissiveness towards premarital sexual activity, which is largely dependent on contraception. It should also bolster the call to eliminate – not simply to cut – funding for Planned Parenthood at all levels of government.

State denies cancer treatment, offers suicide instead 'To say, we'll pay for you to die, but not pay for you to live, it's cruel'

WorldNetDaily
State officials have offered a lung cancer patient the option of having the Oregon Health Plan, set up in 1994 to ration health care, pay for an assisted suicide but not for the chemotherapy prescribed by her physician.

The story appears to be a happy ending for Barbara Wagner, who has been notified by a drug manufacturer that it will provide the expensive medication, estimated to cost $4,000 a month, for the first year and then allow her to apply for further treatment, according to a report in the Eugene Register-Guard.

But the word from the state was coverage for palliative care, which would include the state's assisted suicide program, would be allowed but not coverage for the cancer treatment drugs.

"To say to someone, we'll pay for you to die, but not pay for you to live, it's cruel," Wagner told the newspaper. "I get angry. Who do they think they are?"

Bobby Schindler Decries Current Plague in US of Hospitals Denying Life Sustaining Treatment

Commentary by Bobby Schindler

June 16, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Recently, yet another situation similar to that of my sister Terri Schiavo has made headlines. In West Palm Beach, Florida, Raymond Weber is asking the court to dehydrate his disabled wife, Karen, to death.

If you have read any of the reports in mainstream media, it’s just another case of a husband looking out for the “best interest” of his spouse. And just as in Terri’s case, Raymond Weber is asking the government to deliberately kill his wife who is not dying and is guilty of nothing more than having difficulty swallowing and therefore needing help, in the form of a feeding tube, to eat.

Not surprisingly, in a story by the AP, was a quote from the husband’s attorney who so touchingly referred to his client’s brain-injured wife as a “vegetable,” thus offending the tens of thousands of people and their families who do live with a profound brain injury.

The reporter also wrote that the decision whether Karen should live or die will depend upon whether or not a committee finds her “competent” to go on living. Yes, that is correct, competent enough to live. I guess passing an IQ test will be next.

Factors such as what is being taught in our medical schools, the breakdown of our health care system, the powerful influence of assisted suicide organizations, and the propaganda of our mainstream media have taken their toll.

As a result, the physically and mentally “inferior” are being denied the most basic care—food and water—in our nation’s medical facilities every day. (Thank goodness we have laws making it a felony if we do the same to an animal, although I would expect there would be a greater outcry if it were the family pets at risk.)

Equally as disturbing is the fact that our politicians, including our two presidential candidates, ignore this issue and because of it are failing in one of the most important responsibilities they have as leaders—to protect our most vulnerable citizens.

Perhaps our general public doesn’t have a clue as to how widespread this problem is in our nation today. This ignorance is in large part because of a stealth and powerful lobby who support patient dehydration based on quality of life judgments. This has slowly but surely changed our laws regarding food and water. Nutrition and hydration through a feeding tube, once considered basic care, are now recognized as “artificial nutrition and hydration”—and therefore a form of “medical treatment.”

Because of this, people have the right (this now includes hospital ethics committees under the banner of “futile care”) to refuse medical treatment (food and water via feeding tube) either for themselves or for others, which is often based on “best interest” scenarios. Denying the disabled food and water has become a routine part of medicine that only becomes an issue when family disagrees, as in the case of Karen Weber and my sister Terri.

If you need proof, read what was recently written in a March 18 New York Times article. In this column by Jane Brody, Judith Schwarz, a registered nurse and clinical coordinator for “Compassion & Choices” of New York was quoted as saying the following: “1.3 million people die each year in American hospitals as ‘a consequence of someone’s decision to withhold or withdraw life-sustaining treatment.’”

If this is accurate, these numbers are staggering. Although there are no statistics available to indicate exactly how many of these 1.3 million are simply being starved and dehydrated to death because a “loved one” doesn’t feel like taking on the “burden” of caring for these individuals, it is safe to say that dehydrating the disabled to death is happening every day in our country—in fact thousands of times daily, if the figures are to be believed. During Terri’s battle, Michael Schiavo’s attorney admitted that his effort to kill my sister by denying her food and hydration is a widely practiced “medical treatment.”

How have we sunk so far as a nation to become so desensitized and disconnected to the value and dignity of our most vulnerable, that dehydrating the disabled to death has become about as ordinary as buying a loaf of bread?

Someone once said that when your life becomes difficult, change your life, not your morals. Faced with difficult life choices today, too many have become too comfortable acting immorally.

Bail set at $1 million for woman in baby's death

GRAND JUNCTION (AP) - A judge has set bail at $1 million for a woman charged with first-degree murder in the death of her newborn son.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Morgan Hite of Wasilla, Alaska, secretly gave birth while visiting her family in Grand Junction in February. Authorities allege she wrapped the infant in a garbage bag, put him in a plastic tote and left him in a closet at her family's home.

Authorities say Hite's father and stepmother found the baby's body on April 29th.

A judge set Hite's bail Monday at her first appearance in a Colorado court. She had been extradited from Alaska.

Right To Life Warns Colorado Republican Chairman

"You're headed for another election catastrophe."

DENVER, June 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Colorado Right To Life is warning Dick Wadhams, the state Republican Party chairman, that by shunning their pro-life conservative base they're headed for another election catastrophe in November," said Joe Riccobono, CRTL president.

"Wadhams banned the nation's oldest Right To Life organization from their state convention while he welcomed a radical pro-abortion group," said CRTL vice president Leslie Hanks. "The state's top Republican is out of touch with his own party's base, where 4 out of 5 Republicans at the convention voted to defend life beginning at fertilization."

The thousands of convention delegates passed all forty resolutions offered, except for the only one that failed, the pro-abortion Resolution #21. Convention rules require literature to be approved by the party chairman. Wadhams allowed the misnamed Republican Majority for Choice to distribute flyers quoting him about the Personhood Amendment 48 sponsors as "on the fringe of the pro-life movement, and they do not represent by any stretch of the imagination the hundreds of thousands of pro-life Coloradans."

130,000 pro-lifers signed the Personhood petition. Delegates overwhelmingly passed all uncompromising pro-life resolutions including the 78% vote affirming that "life begins at conception." 20-year-old Personhood Amendment sponsor Kristi Burton was elected among the top ten most popular of the 46 national delegates.

The Denver Post last week quoted Wadhams regarding conservative leader Dr. James Dobson's refusal to support the Republican presidential candidate. "Dobson's comments that he would not vote for the party's presumptive nominee, John McCain, won't hurt." Further, according to the Post, Wadhams agreed that the party should "avoid social issues," and the liberal ColoradoPols.com headlined their report about the state Republican chairman: "Wadhams: Dobson Is So Yesterday."

"Wadhams sells out Dobson and pro-life voters in favor of pro-abortion lobbyists," said Hanks. "Social issues have motivated Republicans in every presidential cycle since 1980."

In sharp contrast, the ColoradoRTL.org candidate questionnaire has identified many heroic leaders running for office. "But Wadhams has moved U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer to the liberal middle, and he's trying to drag the Colorado GOP to the left."

"Wadhams promotion of abortion will be the straw that elects Democrat Mark Udall," said Riccobono. Wadhams pushing the party to the left helps explain the Rocky Mountain News report that Bob Schaffer's convention speech received, "the loudest applause… when he criticized his own party."

In the past, Schaffer fought for protection of innocent human life from the moment of fertilization. "Now he's allowing the party boss Dick Wadhams to position his own former pro-life belief as bad for the Colorado GOP," said Riccobono, "so Schaffer will be blamed for their third election strike out and game over."

OBAMA GREETED IN FLINT, MICHIGAN WITH THE TRUTH OF NEARLY 1,500 BLACK BABIES DYING DAILY AT THE HANDS OF ABORTIONISTS!

Barack Obama's campaign stop today in Flint, Michigan offered him the chance to confront his conscience.
Flint Right to Life's beautiful billboard above, might yet awaken Mr. Obama to the truth that abortion kills more black Americans than any other cause.

His presidential aspirations and pro-abortion bona fides, notwithstanding; any candidate knowing the truth about the racial component of the abortion industry who will still stand for the evil killing of innocent black babies, is unqualified for even the office of dog catcher.

Recent UCLA stings have powerfully illustrated that Margaret Sanger's founding principles are still alive and well in America 2008.

THE SECOND COMING

WB Yates

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

FOCUS ON THE HISTORY
Of Gay Rights

Jun 10, 2008
* Focus on the Family Promotes Gay Rights: Oops.

With Colorado enacting the most hostile homosexual law against Christians in American history, Focus on the Family is ignoring the governmental censorship of SB 200 which forbids publication of most Christian teaching on homosexuality. Christian pamphlets and books against homosexual marriage, adoption, etc., are now illegal in Colorado. However, Dr. James Dobson's Focus on the Family is opposing a cartoon-version of this law, complaining that it will allow men in women's restrooms.

However that bathroom aspect is least devastating part of the SB 200 attack on Christians, and it was certainly not the intent of the majority of the wicked and naïve legislators who voted for this attack law. Why has Dr. Dobson focused on the bathroom stall and ignored that SB 200 criminalizes the publishing of Christian teaching on homosexuality? Focus on the History of homosexual rights in Colorado to understand. In 1993, Focus vice president Tom Minnery and their public policy group, along with the well-meaning but short-sighted Will Perkins and Keven Tebedo at Colorado for Family Values, steered the Body of Christ down a tragic path of appeasement with humanists and homosexuals by caving in to gay political correctness. In a statewide Colorado campaign on Amendment 2, Dr. Dobson actually advocated, this is shocking even to recall, "equal rights" for homosexuals.

That initiative, reasonably designed to stall the homosexual agenda, succeeded by passing with 54% of the vote, a statewide majority, bolstered by Dr. James Dobson's unwise but opportunistic campaign slogan of "equal rights, not special rights," for homosexuals. Winning that battle gave Christians a short-lived victory that cost them the war. Since Dr. Dobson advocated equal rights for homosexuals, he has lost his standing to recognize, let alone oppose, the real devastation of Colorado's SB 200, the criminalizing of traditional Christian and biblical teaching on homosexuality. If the bill's sponsors would amend it protecting toilets from cross-gender intrusion, it seems Focus on the Family would be at a loss to continue their criticism.

Because Dr. Dobson has trusted lawyers, moral relativists and secular humanists to direct Christianity's current spiritual warfare, increasingly believers are looking elsewhere for substantive political, moral, and spiritual leadership. Thus, Christians oppose a cartoon version of this sweeping anti-Christian law, complaining that it will allow men in women's toilets, when in reality, SB 200 is the most far-reaching, hostile homosexual attack on Christians America has ever seen.

A new Colorado law is helping homosexual activists achieve their goal of forcing Christians to teach biblical condemnation of homosexuality only behind the closed doors of their sanctuaries.

The as-yet untested state law promotes sexual identity "perception" to the level of skin color under state discrimination laws.

Some opponents are calling it a "bona fide censorship law," and top analysts for Focus on the Family, the Christian publishing and broadcast powerhouse, are expressing concern over the "mischief" they expect to follow the signing by Gov. Bill Ritter.

Bill Ritter
As WND reported, Ritter, a Democrat, struck gender-specific restrooms and locker rooms statewide when he signed the plan into law in May.

The law makes it illegal to deny a person access to public accommodations, including restrooms and locker rooms, based on gender identity or the "perception" of gender identity.

"Who would have believed that the Colorado state legislature and its governor would have made it fully legal for men to enter and use women's restrooms and locker-room facilities without notice or explanation?" said James Dobson, founder of Focus.

"Henceforth, every woman and little girl will have to fear that a predator, bisexual, cross-dresser or even a homosexual or heterosexual male might walk in and relieve himself in their presence," Dobson said.

REMEMBERING THE DAY THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION BEGAN

The Bad Decision
That Started It All

ROBERT P. GEORGE & DAVID L. TUBBS

Forty years ago, in Griswold v. Connecticut, the Supreme Court of the United States struck down state laws forbidding the sale, distribution, and use of contraceptives on the basis of a novel constitutional doctrine known as the “right to marital privacy.” At the time, the decision appeared to be harmless.

After all, Griswold simply allowed married couples to decide whether to use contraceptives. But the Supreme Court soon transformed the “right to privacy” (the reference to marriage quickly disappeared) into a powerful tool for making public policy. In Eisenstadt v. Baird (1972), the Court changed a right of spouses — justified in Griswold precisely by reference to the importance of marriage — into a right of unmarried adults to buy and use contraceptives. Then, in a move that plunged the United States into a “culture war,” the Court ruled in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton (1973) that this generalized “right to privacy” also encompassed a woman’s virtually unrestricted right to have an abortion.

American Life League Applauds Habitat for Humanity For Ending Relationship with Planned Parenthood

WASHINGTON, D.C. (04 June 2008) - Jim Sedlak, vice president for American Life League, issued the following statement about Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota, FL ending its cooperation with Planned Parenthood:

"We received news this morning that the Board of Directors of Habitat For Humanity of Sarasota, Inc. voted last evening to disengage itself from Planned Parenthood and not go through with a planned land deal. We are extremely pleased that the Habitat board saw fit to take this action."

“In early May, Sarasota Habitat had agreed to buy a piece of land from Planned Parenthood for $10 and agreed to build multi-family housing on the land. This agreement allowed Planned Parenthood to fulfill a zoning requirement it needed in order to get an occupancy permit for a new abortion facility it is building in Sarasota. American Life League worked with local pro-lifers and publicized this fact across the country, resulting in a large number of phone calls to local Habitat offices as well as Habitat for Humanity International offices.”

“Organizations must realize that associating themselves with Planned Parenthood – operators of the nation’s largest abortion chain – will be viewed negatively by many good people in this country. Planned Parenthood is a controversial organization and that controversy will transfer to any group associated with Planned Parenthood.”

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death.
