When did your life begin? 23+23=46

Our marvelous friends Maria and Elisha came to Colorado and made this intriguing and compelling video to explain
about the beginning of biological development of human beings.

Every one of us began our lives when sperm met egg and the miraculous moment when 23 + 23 = 46.

Elisha was a Snowflake baby and after having been frozen for four years took a journey across country to Maria as a 2 celled embryo.

Maria successfully carried her to term and now runs an embryo
adoption agency.

You can read this Seattle Times article about her journey and watch this wonderful Youtube video called Rewind about the earliest moments
of all of our lives!

If Christians won't stand up for the babies, who will?

Dear Mrs. xxxx,

Since visiting your store with a brochure about our Personhood campaign for 2010 and our signature gathering effort, my spirit has been terribly troubled that your register assistant told me that you would not allow the brochure on your bulletin board and that we should not attempt to gather signatures outside the store.

As I told the young woman who advised me of the store's policy to avoid politics, it is more than politics. It is the human rights battle of our generation!

The Bible implores us in Proverbs 24:11-12, to rescue those being unjustly led to the slaughter.

Can Christians really continue in our apathy while 4,000 babies are dismembered daily?

This organization explains the biblical mandate to do something to stop the abortion holocaust!

Since the Amendment 48 vote in 2008, Personhood efforts are springing up around the country. 30 states are now pursuing Personhood campaigns to bring legal protection to the pre-born child.

Psalms 139: For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

inalienable rights, that among these
are Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Hi Leslie,

Becky and I as individuals are very pro-life, but this is a personal choice and a very political issue whether we want it to be or not. As stewards of our bookstore we have made many tough choices. It seems like not a week goes by that individuals in the community question our faith about one thing or another.

We apologize if our decision has troubled your spirit.

Blessings,

Jeff and Becky

Jeff,

I appreciate your reply but have to ask if you would have had the same reaction to the plight of the Jews in Hitler's Germany who were being led to the gas chambers? It was legal to kill them. Would you really have stood idly by and wondered if people would possibly buy fewer of your books if you tried to help a Jewish family?

Or could you have turned your back on the slaves who were mis-treated as property and forced to labor for the benefit
of their masters?

Slavery was ended by people of conscience and so was the holocaust.

One can no longer claim to be pro-life without taking action.

We are our brother's keeper in a sense and we can't turn a blind eye to human rights abuses all around us.

I might suggest that you view an incredible article that ran in the NY Timesa few weeks back.

Little Girl's Cancer Inspires Runners, Donations

Written for the Web by CBS4 Special Projects Producer Libby Smith

At the Denver Marathon on Sunday, October 18th, one team of runners is hoping to raise awareness of childhood cancers. The Miles for Tuesday team is running to honor a little girl who lost a big battle against cancer.

Friends and family will tell you that Tuesday Whitt was a beautiful little girl.

"She had a twin sister and two older brothers so she was born tough," said Mike Whitt, Tuesday's grandfather.

She got tougher when she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a common cancer in children. Tuesday underwent 7 months of chemotherapy and radiation. She lost her battle with cancer in January. Tuesday was two-years-old.

"I think she was an inspiration to everyone who met her," Whitt told CBS4.

Now Tuesday is inspiring her grandfather and others on a new journey. They're running in the Denver Marathon.

"The goal is for everyone to collectively to do something wonderful," said Bill Mell, team captain.

The Miles for Tuesday team is 33 members strong and hopes to raise $15,000 for the Children's Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

"People's generosity has just really come out through this," Mell added.

Mell hopes that the inspiration of a little girl can make a big difference in the fight against childhood cancers.

"If you're going to run 26 miles you might as well do something for the better and for the community," Mell said.

Tuesday's grandfather will be running the full marathon – his first in 16 years.

"This event is a difficult physical challenge and it brings out an awareness of what it's like for those people being treated for cancer," Whitt said.

Additional Resources

The Denver Marathon, Half-Marathon, and Relay is Sunday, Oct. 18. The race starts at 7a.m. from Civic Center Park. The course winds through downtown Denver and through three of the city's parks,so there will be rolling street closures.

Abortion isn't health care, it's MURDER!

Principal to boy: Strip off 'insulting' pro-life shirt

Student wears 'Abortion is not health care' slogan to Obama school speech

A Christian middle-school student is suing his school district after a principal ordered him to remove a T-shirt bearing the message "Abortion is not health care" on the day of President Obama's speech to schoolchildren.

Alliance Defense Fund attorneys filed a lawsuit in federal court against the West Shore School District in Lewisberry, Pa., Oct. 5 on behalf of a male, Christian middle-school student identified as E.B.

The boy's parents, identified as the Boyers, said they were concerned about the president's speech and the national health-care debate, including reported funding of abortion within proposed legislation.

"[T]he Boyers, like many others, felt that President Obama was bypassing them and speaking directly to their children without their permission," the complaint states. "… Like many others, the Boyers struggled with whether they should send their children to school on that day. E.B. attended school and decided to voice his religious viewpoint as it relates to the issue of abortion."

The boy wore the T-shirt to his classes at Crossroads Middle School and said he received no complaints until his fifth-period teacher ordered him to go to the principal's office to determine whether the shirt was "appropriate."

E.B. claims he was immediately told to remove his shirt "because it might insult somebody."

Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller's arrest at Notre Dame!

OCTOBER 10, 2009

"Breaking News: New York Times features photos of aborted babies; front page FAIR story on pro-life activism"

Could there be a more amazing headline? I must admit to having never seen one in my lifetime of pro-life activism than the one above from the amazing Jill Stanek's blog today.

Well, incredibly, Jill and I had the wonderful honor of watching and chronicling Dr. Miller's arrest at Notre Dame when Barack Obama spoke to the graduating seniors and besmirched the good name of the nation's most renown Catholic university.

Monica Miller is an ardent foe and indomitable warrior for the tiny ones slaughtered in the womb over 3,500 times every day in our nation.

Her photos making the New York times are nothing, if not miraculous. Her passion is to help America understand the dignity and humanity of the pre-born. Her passion at Notre Dame was to be arrested in order to take her photos of little hands and feet (found in a dumpster behind abortionist Hodari's death camp) to those standing in line to hear the speech of a man who supports late term abortion and more.

She wouldn't stop charging the police lines with her truth!

She was beyond bold! She insisted that those who were in line to hear from an advocate of the war on babies in the womb, deserved to see the results of what his skewed moral compass leads to.

Dr. Miller finally was arrested after 4 or 5 attempts at charging the police line.

She likely still has a court date pending. But her truth is undoubtedly making its way around the world, as I write.

What a privilege it was to make her acquaintance and share my photos of her passion here.

Might I say, her passion is inspired by His passion for His creation - for each and every infinitely valuable individual to grow up to know and love Him!

Judie Brown trumpets Nobel Committee hypocrisy!

Today's Worldnetdaily article, "He Won What?" highlights America's stunned reaction to the Nobel Peace prize - given to the sitting resident of the White House - and show cases pro-life stalwart Judie Brown's horror over the choice.

'Other reactions from around the country have challenged Obama's merit for the award, not on his resume but on his politics. Judie Brown, president of American Life League, released the following statement:

"Bestowing the Nobel Prize on the most rabid pro-abortion president in history is a direct slap in the face to past recipient, Mother Teresa of Calcutta who said, upon receiving her Nobel Peace Prize: 'the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing – direct murder by the mother herself.'" Brown said.

"In awarding the prize to Obama, the Nobel Committee is announcing that abortion is the cornerstone of a hellish 'peace' – the damning silence of 51 million aborted children in the United States alone."

She concluded, "The Nobel Committee has bestowed the 'Peace Prize' on a man dedicated to war in the womb."

Breast Cancer Exploitation Month

Yesterday was Denver's Susan G Komen Race for the Cure - in case you somehow missed it.

Komen has Denver in a strangle hold!

Every media outlet in town (it seems) benefits from the huge event and gives glowing coverage - no questions asked.

It is difficult to get a word in edgewise if one questions the sanity of racing year after year, while abortion rates continue to skyrocket in younger and younger women with no CURE in sight.

The elephant in the room is the abortion breast cancer link which this youtube explains has been known for 50 years.

Colorado Right to Life has taken the message about the abortion causality in the breast cancer epidemic for years, only to be booed, hissed and have things thrown at us.

This year was no exception.

And yet we persist because we care about women. And we care about young women making tragic choices which can lead to their early demise.

This beautiful young woman explains the carnage in her own life beautifully.

"We tend to focus on the cure... we're focusing our energies on that, rather than the preventative."

Colorado Right to Life's 2006 meeting:

Colorado Right to Life
To Join the Race for the Cure Protest

Denver, Colorado -- A meeting last Friday between Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Denver officials, CRTL board members, and scientific and medical experts led the pro-life organization to decide to join an annual protest to warn women at the Komen Foundation's Race for the Cure of the link between abortion and breast cancer.

Former Komen medical research analyst Eve Sanchez Silver explained to the Komen officials that she resigned from Komen two years ago because the organization denies the scientific studies showing the link between abortion and breast cancer, and it provides funding to abortion provider Planned Parenthood. Professor Joel Brind, PhD endocrinologist from Baruch College in New York City attended the meeting after saying on Denver radio that, "the 2003 conference of the National Cancer Institute which denied abortion as a risk factor for breast cancer refused to allow attending scientists to present the opposing position of the scientific research establishing the link, showing that abortion was declassified as a cancer risk for political and not scientific reasons."

Sunstein: Government
must subsidize abortion

Declares 'no problem' forcing
taxpayers with moral conflict

By Aaron Klein
WorldNetDaily

Cass Sunstein

TEL AVIV – The government should be required to fund abortion in cases such as rape or incest, argues President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein.

"I have argued that the Constitution ... forbids government from refusing to pay the expenses of abortion in cases of rape or incest, at least if government pays for childbirth in such cases," Sunstein wrote in his 1993 book "The Partial Constitution."

In the book, obtained and reviewed by WND, Sunstein sets forth a radical new interpretation of the Constitution. The book contains a chapter entitled "It's the government's money" in which Sunstein strongly argues the government should be compelled to fund abortions for women victimized by rape or incest.

The Obama czar posits that funding only childbirth but not abortion "has the precise consequence of turning women into involuntary incubators."

Obama "Enemy of Humanity"!

According to ABC news political blog:

GOP Rep: President Obama is “An Enemy of Humanity”

September 29, 2009 12:29 PM

At the conservative How to Take Back America Conference over the weekend, Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., had some harsh words for President Obama.

Franks told those assembled: “Obama's first act as president of any consequence, in the middle of a financial meltdown, was to send taxpayers' money overseas to pay for the killing of unborn children in other countries. Now I gotta tell you, a president that will do that, here's almost nothing that you should be surprised at after that. You shouldn’t, we shouldn't be shocked that he does all these other insane things. A president that has lost his way that badly, that has no ability to see the image of God in these little fellow human beings, if he can't do that right, then he has no place in any station of government and we need to realize that he is an enemy of humanity.”

A new push to define 'person,' and to outlaw abortion in the process

A new push to define 'person,' and to outlaw abortion in the process

Some abortion foes think the rationale for Roe vs. Wade is vulnerable. They're trying to amend state constitutions -- including California's -- to define personhood from conception.

By Robin Abcarian

September 28, 2009

It is one of the enduring questions of religion and science, and lately of American politics: When does a fertilized egg become a person?

Abortion foes, tired of a profusion of laws that limit but do not abolish abortion, are trying to answer the question in a way that they hope could put an end to legalized abortion.

Across the country, they have revived efforts to amend state constitutions to declare that personhood -- and all rights accorded human beings -- begins at conception.

From Florida to California, abortion foes are gathering signatures, pressing state legislators and raising money to put personhood measures on ballots next year. In Louisiana, a class at a Catholic high school is lobbying state legislators as part of a civics exercise.

"We have big and small efforts going on in 30 states right now," said Keith Mason, co-founder of Colorado-based Personhood USA. "Our goal is to activate the population."

Critics deride the effort as the "egg-as-person" movement and say it threatens in vitro fertilization; some kinds of birth control, including IUDs and pills; and stem cell research. They say that Americans will reject it as a government intrusion into their privacy.

"It's a backdoor abortion ban," said Ted Miller, spokesman for NARAL Pro-Choice America, which has worked with Planned Parenthood and other abortion rights groups to defeat such measures.

Since the mid-1970s, polls have found that about three-quarters of Americans support legalized abortion in at least some circumstances.

But this year, for the first time since the Gallup Poll started asking people in 1995 whether they identified themselves as "pro-life" or "pro-choice," a slight majority of Americans (51%) picked "pro-life."

Proponents of personhood measures root their hopes in the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision, in which Justice Harry Blackmun wrote for the majority that a fetus is not legally a person.

Lila Rose, Pastor Walter Hoye to launch CA Human Rights Campaign today

I'm told Lila Rose, Pastor Walter Hoye, Judie Brown, and the "Bella Movie guys" (don't know which ones) will be present to launch the CA Human Rights Campaign at a press conference today in Sacramento.

It is there the group will submit language for the Human Rights Amendment to AG Jerry Brown, to be presented as a 2010 CA ballot initiative if all goes as planned.

The amendment "recognizes the inherent human rights, dignity and worth of all human beings from the beginning of their biological development," said Pastor Hoye in a statement.

This is commonly known as a personhood amendment, and they're popping up everywhere. According to Personhood USA, groups in 17 states are now at various stages of play on this.

The first was CO, where last November's effort was soundly defeated by voters 73-27%. But PersonhoodCO will be baaack with a 2010 voter intiative. (The female speaker you'll see in this video is good friend Leslie Hanks, who comments frequently on this blog and whose little granddaughter Tuesday died tragically of cancer in January.)...

60,000 pray in Times Square!

But media fail to notice this most unusual event

Posted: September 21, 2009
9:37 pm Eastern

WorldNetDaily

NEW YORK – You can see most anything at Times Square in Manhattan.

But 60,000 people praying? That's an unusual site in the heart of Broadway.

Yet, that's just what happened there yesterday for one hour – from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in a Christian rally called Prayer in the Square.

Event organizers from Time Square Church had expected some 15,000. But their expectations were far exceeded at the third event of its kind in the last three years.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who helped the church cut through the red tape necessary to hold such an event, addressed the crowd.

"It's a little strange for me to be up here," he said. "I'm a Jew. But I just celebrated Rosh Hoshana, our new year. So I guess it's appropriate for me to wish you all a happy new year."

Despite the magnitude of the event, no major media covered it – even in the center of the media world on a slow news day.

More than 200 churches joined with the Times Square Church in promoting the rally to pray for the city and the nation.

One of a million!! 9/12/09 Tea Party

Partly fueling the debate is that President Barack Obama has said he wants the insurance expansion to cover "reproductive" services, Hanks said.

Just when Coloradans thought health-reform talk couldn't get any more heated, long-running arguments over abortion funding threaten to take the health debate into the thermonuclear.

The National Right to Life Committee has gone "Condition Red" on its Web page, while NARAL Pro-Choice America begs, "Help Us Stop the Lies!"

"There's nothing that gets people angrier than abortion," said Emilie Ailts, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.

"The health care thing is raising awareness like nothing I've ever seen. It has a life of its own," said Leslie Hanks of Colorado Right to Life. "I think it's truly the abortion issue that's one of the major concerns. It does motivate a great number of people."

In sharp dispute is whether insurance-reform proposals brewing in Congress would breach a longtime block on federal funding for abortion services that has served as a partial political truce on the volatile issue.

Abortion opponents say one of the primary bills creating a "public option," or government-run insurance plan, allows the plan's designers to cover all abortions.
