Terri's Psalm
"O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.
Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint,
O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony,
My soul is in anguish.
How long, O Lord, how long?
Turn, O Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
No one remembers you when he is dead.
Who praises you from the grave?
I am worn out from groaning;
all night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail me because of all my foes.
Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed;
they will turn back in sudden disgrace."

Musings of a Gentile Woman
“Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.” Esther 2:7
On March 2, 2005 all around our nation, Hadassah had a national Date with the State lobby day for SOS. Their State of Stem Cells presentation encouraged California style funding for ESCR embryonic stem cell research. That SOS really ought to be a call to help embryonic life in our nation!
Of all human groups which should be finely attuned to the needs of the oppressed; one
would think that Jewish mothers would be at the top of the list.
Having been the target of Hitler’s destructive march for eugenic purity, these descendants of Auschwitz should be working over-time to protect innocent life.
They of all humans on the planet should be familiar with the beautiful story of Queen Esther and how the Lord used her to save His people.
Taking a human life to potentially find a cure for another human, is reminiscent of the heinous German notion of using the skin of murdered Jews to create lampshades.
Have the memories of the holocaust grown so dim as to no longer serve as a morality check on today’s human psyche?
Pro-lifers are accused of opposing stem cell research. An honest assessment of that opposition would reveal that they, to a person, support ethical stem cell research
which does not destroy human life.
Adult stem cell research has produced a variety of amazingly marvelous improvements in the health status of the incapacitated. Embryonic stem cell research has to date produced no successful cures. In fact, harmful effects like teratomas have resulted. With embryonic cells being undifferentiated, tumors of hair and baby teeth can occur with implantations of ECSR.
The largest women’s group, Hadassah, should re-read the book of Esther and become
well versed in its lessons, before Purim, March 25.
Embryonic life in America needs you Hadassah.
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14.

As an employee of a domestic U.S. air carrier, I am blessed to be able
to travel to various destinations in which I have been able to try to make a
difference for saving lives.
When Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube was removed in October of 2003,
I felt compelled to travel to Florida to help raise awareness of her plight.
As Terri faced a similar juncture in her life this week, I was once again drawn
to seeing if there wasn’t something I could do to make a difference.
Midway through the flight, it was reported that “judge” Greer had granted
another 48 hour reprieve. I began soul searching about whether I had
mis-perceived the Lord’s leading in my trip to Florida. Would there
really be anything for me to do?
At 6:30 am yesterday, I kept a lonely watch in front of the hospice where
Terri has been held hostage for years. I listened to the birds singing
and wished I could just walk in the front door and say, “Hi, I’d like to take
Terri for a walk in her wheelchair today.” Unfortunately, not even her parents are allowed that privilege. No fresh air, no sunshine, no fragrant flowers to smell, no
bird’s songs to hear.
Most of the cars which drove by, dropping their children off at the nearby school,
read my poster saying “Colorado (heart) Terri.” Mostly they just glanced and
kept driving, their conscience possibly pricked. A few gave the thumbs up
sign. One Jeep Cherokee, sporting a Kerry sticker, screamed, “Let her die!”
It seemed a bit strange to ponder why Terri’s neighbors are so apathetic while
people around the nation are so passionate about her cause. There are
many wonderful Florida people who have done yeoman work to see that Terri isn’t
the victim of judicial murder. Yet, local talk-show host, Mark Larson, vehemently
berated DCF on air for wasting his tax dollars in asking for a 60 day
delay to investigate charges of abuse. Why is he so eager for Terri to die?
What happens if “judge” Greer refuses to allow the 60 day reprieve, remains
to be seen in this showdown between the Executive and Judicial branches.
Around noon, Randall Terry held a press conference at the Pinellas County Courthouse.
He told reporters that there would be a picket of Michael Schiavo’s lovely home today.
“judge” Greer’s Baptist church, down the street from the court house, will be targeted
with protestors asking that he be denied communion, since he is violating Southern Baptist Convention teachings. The Mad Italian, Michael’s live-in’s family restaurant is to be the focus of another group of Terri supporters who will call for a boycott of the eatery.
Mr. Terry closed the press conference noting he had told George Felos, that he wasn’t sure if he was merely a pain in the ass or criminally insane. He said he didn’t know if he should offer him Preparation H or Prozac. Doubtful that
quote made the 6:00 news!
By late afternoon, more supporters gathered in front of the hospice once again for
prayers, songs and a candle light-vigil. By the time it was over, we had 4 signs for
Terri – mine, a “Minnesota (heart) Terri”, an “Iowa (heart) Terri” and a “Maryland (heart) Terri”.
Mary from Iowa drove 28 hours straight by herself to get there.
Our efforts were captured as photos in the Tama Tribune and the St. Petersburg
Times.
And yet today some Floridians are claiming that where Terri’s brain should be, there is a big black hole there.
Is that anyway to describe a fellow citizen?
It really does go back to the red state, blue state phenomenon. Were John Kerry in office today, the judicial scales, dangerously close to tipping all the way toward the death agenda, would be falling with an audible thud.
Don’t expect this ghastly agenda to disappear any time soon. If Million Dollar Baby
sweeps the Oscars this week, as expected, there will likely be many more Terri’s!
So if you feel an irrepressible urge to go make a difference, your efforts will undoubtedly
matter.

Loving our enemies?
One of the most difficult aspects of this walk we have as followers of Jesus,
is the imprecation to love our enemies.
Who wants to do that?
A particularly vivid example in many of our lives at this juncture in history,
is the wicked troika who seem to hold the fate of our friend Terri Schindler Schiavo
in their hands.
One writer asks the question about Terri’s former spouse, “husband or monster?”
Monster, I say!! It gives me some measure of comfort to describe him that way,
I’m sorry to admit. And frankly, I don’t want to change my opinion of him or
the other creeps who have abused Terri for over a decade.
But what does the good book say about those we conclude are our enemies?
Before we explore that, let me admit I don’t want to love my enemies. I don’t even want to pray for them. But like many of you I must conclude that all of the amazing efforts
to spare Terri’s life by the thousands of us who care about protecting innocent life,
at this point seem to be falling short of getting the job done.
Do we need to examine who the real enemy is and acknowledge that Michael and
his minions are as lost as we once were – but for the grace of God?
I don’t know what else to do at this point to make a difference that actually might
save Terri, so that she can bask in the sunshine and breathe deep the fragrance of
flowers, while her eyes take in the deep azure blue of the ocean’s deep.
I must admit that I’m willing at this late date to try another tact and pray that
the Good Lord will save Michael, George Felos and “judge” Greer and bring
them into His kingdom before they face the justice they will so richly deserve, should
they carry out their diabolical plan.
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:20-21
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:43-44.
“But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27.
Amazingly, there are numerous others. Yet, I’m having trouble enough understanding
these. They go so against my grain!
All my prayers for the past 18 months for Terri, and now I must confront the fact
that perhaps, I should have been praying for the salvation of the aforementioned
hit squad.
Before we mentally send them packing to the vivid depictions of a Hieronymous Bosch
painting, will we pledge to stand together as a body of believers and pray fervently
that the Lord will remove the scales from their eyes, that they will repent and
let Terri live?
But most of all may we all continue to pray that Saint Terri will have taught America
not only the valuable lessons our nation needs to learn regarding the infinite value of all human life but also the depth of corruption of our judicial system which needs to be
swept clean, from top to bottom.
And finally, may we collectively pray that the good men in our land, who have
the power to do what is necessary to save an innocent life will dig deeply into
their reservoir of courage and boldly step out to do the noble, right and just thing.
“Father God, we are absolutely helpless before you, we beseech your majesty
and beg your forgiveness for not consistently praying that Terri’s tormentors be saved.
Please work a mighty work in their hearts and minds that they will repent of
their wicked ways. We pray that they will seek your merciful forgiveness
for their abuse of our sister Terri, lo these many years. In the matchless name
of Jesus, we pray, Amen”

My Country Tis of Thee . . . .
Whose heart doesn’t stir with pride as the Star Spangled Banner is played
or as the Thunderbirds do a dramatic fly-over for a patriotic event?
What parent’s eyes don’t well up when gazing upon their newly born,
miraculous gift of life?
When, since 9/11, don’t most Americans hearts melt with gratitude over the
young men sacrificing their all, to thwart the Islamic threat to our way
of life?
Which of us shouldn’t be weeping over the largest assemblage of human debris,
ever to disgrace our nation’s Capitol?
Close to a half million people – mostly “women” joined a death march on April 25, 2004
to celebrate the signing, by Colorado, of our nation’s first abortion law April 25, 1967. Oh, they claimed they needed to “Abort Bush” because of his “pro-life” policies. But what they really did was embarrass our nation in the world press.
While our nation daily mourns tragic deaths and sacrifices - for the noble cause of
defending us - from those who seek to destroy our way of life; these selfish minions heaped scorn upon us in the international community.
To the young father who proudly marched, wearing his one month old son in a
Snuglie - sporting a “choice” sticker, “You should be ashamed of yourself! Your baby
is a gift from God and you are marching with those despicable baby killers, who want to rip the arms and legs off of helpless pre-born infants?”
To the pink clad women wearing “Peace” on your backs, in English and Arabic,“Wake up! We are in a global war against Islamo-fascists who want you in a burqua - and you are screaming in the streets for more dead babies? What about the rights of pre-born women? Could you be anymore deluded or selfish?”
To the grey haired Grammas screeching for Choice, “Let those grandbabies live!!!
They are fun, they are adorable, they are a blessing!”
To the African American women who don’t realize that every day 1,400 black babies
are killed by the racist Planned Parenthood, “Get a clue – Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, believed that minorities were human weeds. Do some research and wake up.”
To the Jewish marchers, “Yes abortion is America’s holocaust! Never forget.”
To Ashley Judd, Hillary and Whoopi, “It’s really not all about you. Try reading
the bio of Florence Nightingale to learn about sacrificing, that another might
live. Dust off those old fashioned notions like dignity, nobility, charity and
chastity. They really are far more appealing than that tired, shallow and robotic
chant ‘my body, my choice’”
And finally, to the young mom on the flight home from the madness, “The pro-choice
stickers on your 4 year old twin girls are depraved and sick. What message are you
sending into those precious lives? Do you really want your daughters to grow up realizing that they were expendable? Snap out of it and stop exploiting your
children for your pathetic political cause!”
Sweet land of liberty?
“We hold these Truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights; that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
Our nation is in grave danger of forgetting what really matters. Do we really believe
that our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor in order that
we might destroy our posterity?
While heroes like the NFL’s Pat Tillman quietly surrender their millions to go fight and die to save us; these poor pathetic souls gleefully shamed America, with their pleas for more death and destruction on our own soil.
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him,
but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they
claimed to be wise, they became fools . . . .” Romans 1:21-22.

Tomorrow - December 3 - is Terri Schiavo's 40th birthday.
Praise the Lord she is still alive (so far) to receive the
numerous cards, letters and gifts people will be sending
to help her celebrate.
Against tremendous odds, she has again survived her
former husband's diabolical desire to kill her by twice
removing her feeding tube.
I guess he and his shack up and their 2 kids, just
hate the thought of her interfering with their love nest
and the life style her insurance money has been providing.
To learn about her plight and how you can help a disabled
woman survive against the forces of darkness, check out Terrisfight.org

The state of Colorado brought the abortion holocaust to America on April 25, 1967. Governor "Duty to Die" Dick Lamm, then a state representative, carried the first in the nation abortion law for rape, incest and life of the mother.
Since that tragic day, when Governor Love signed the law - opening the Pandora's box of death and destruction - Colorado has seen the tragedy of Columbine and the taking of untold innocent lives in our state and nearly 50 million in our, once great, nation.
Colorado, therefore, has an opportunity and duty to
restore legal protection to all human life, from fertilization through natural death.
