We Could End Abortion Overnight . . .

"Over 50 million children have been aborted in America under sanction of federal law since Roe v Wade.  Fifty million.

If we honored each of those 50 million human beings with a single minute of silence, we would remain speechless for over 95 years.  How about instead of remaining speechless as, to our everlasting shame we have done now for 39 years, we open our mouths and blow the trumpet?"

This superb article which recently appeared on the late Chuck Colson's Breakpoint has spoken to me in ways that I've longed for of late.

Rolley Haggard hits the nail on the head and points out the elephant in the room better than any analysis I've read in years.

"We Could End Abortion Overnight ~ If We Really Wanted To" points out the obvious, which has been haunting me for months with friends and relatives and local pastors.

I've been blessed to have been a part of the Operation Save America national events for the past 5 years and the incomparable Reverend Flip Benham has been saying the same thing ~ Abortion will end in America when "The Church" decides it will end.

It brings to mind the Sing a Little Louder story which every pastor needs to read.

"The Church" failed to confront the evil in Hitler's Germany before it was too late and as Mr. Haggard notes, "to our everlasting shame" for the past 40 years America's churches
have turned a blind eye to the plight of our pre-born neighbors.

Those "neighbors" are 4,000 baby boys and girls, made in the image and likeness of Almighty God, who have a soul and for some inexplicable reason, we've allowed to be dismembered and thrown away daily like trash.

If you are involved in "ministry" consider this imprecation, "Too many of us are preoccupied with "ministry." The entire law, the whole duty of Christians, is summarized in one word: love.
"Ministry," if it is not the incarnation of love for people, is unlikely to look straight into the eyes of Love incarnate on the Coming Day and survive the realization that to do everything in life well but fail in this one, all important point, is to fail in all."

I'm remembering a fellow warrior who years ago heard the call to be on the front lines who took great offense at the notion she wasn't doing enough for the pro-life cause.  I've recently learned that she now goes to rescue those being unjustly led to the slaughter.  PTL!

Others I know say they just don't feel "called" to be at the death camps.

"Preacher, missionary, Christian worker, ask yourself, "If it was your child they were going to put to death under the sanction of a perverse and evil law, what would you do?"

Thank you, Rollie Haggard, for your strong words, which every Christian should devour and seriously ponder.

For the babies who are about to die this very day need you, to stand in the gap.

If you live in a Personhood state, get a petition and help your fellow citizens have a pro-life measure to vote on this fall.  If you don't, visit Abolish Human Abortion's web site.  Order yourself an Abolitionist t shirt. Wear it to visit your legislator.  Be proud to be an "extremist" for the babies!

Of course pray for an end to the holocaust against America's posterity.  But DO SOMETHING!

Voting for weak kneed politicians who claim to be pro-life, when their records reveal precisely the opposite, no longer cuts it.

Get in the biggest battle for human rights of our generation before it's too late ~ God can't bless an America that is soaked in the blood of 4,000 innocents being slain every day of
the week.

To our everlasting shame!
